now keep in mind i live in michigan and its like the artic in the winter. lol thanks for the help.
I’m a big fan of the Columbia ( www.columbia.com ) line of outerwear, clothing, & footwear. The cost is usually much lower than competitors and the quality is still very good.
I have one of the Columbia shell jackets & pants made with omni-tech breathable/water proof fabric going on 9 years now with no problems. And a pair of their boots almost as old that has seen many, many miles of hiking in sand, rain, mud, & snow.
I believe in layering for winter weather, this way you can remove layers or open zippers & vents as needed. So I would suggest a good synthetic pair of thermal underwear with moisture wicking properties to keep you cool and dry. The same for your socks as well. A fleece jacket as your insulating layer. And then the omni-tech shell jacket and pants for your outer layer.
You can find this clothing/footwear line at most outfitters and/or you can try and compare these online stores, they usually have some really good prices:

I know how important the time with the dog is – I had a black lab that loved the snow – many good hours were spent with her as she ran face first through the drifts and catching snowballs in her mouth.
