Lady Ga-Ga’s Raw Meat Dress
So the MTV Video Music Awards were held recently and apparently the whole world is ga-ga over Lady Ga-Ga’s raw meat dress.
It’s probably a good thing for all concerned that there weren’t many dogs allowed around the Video Music Awards. It would have to be an exceptionally well trained dog to sit quietly as someone walks by them draped in raw meat. Training the puppy to use puppy pads to help in becoming housebroken is one thing, training the dog to not go after a person draped in raw meat is something entirely different.
It is possible, of course, to train dogs to not go after someone wearing a raw meat dress. Or if not, to at least keep the dog on a tight leash. Dogs that might be working an event such as the Video Music Awards are usually of the exceptionally well trained nature anyway as they would most likely be service or security dogs and both types of working dogs are trained to ignore distractions, even those posed by two legged types.
Training the dogs to use puppy pads and to be house broken is often the easiest type of training the dog and master will do. Especially if the dog is going to be a working dog. But even if the dog is not destined to be a working dog, it still needs to be trained. The puppy pad training is the start.
Now actors and musicians and celebrities are like most anyone else. They have pets. Some have dogs and some have cats and some have other animals. Without having actually been at the Video Music Awards, it’s hard to know if anyone of the people there brought their dogs with them. If they did have a dog at the awards, the news would probably have been full of stories if the dog had gone after Lady Ga-Ga and her raw meat dress and since there haven’t been any stories like that, presumably all was well in the end.
But for the future, Lady Ga-Ga (and anyone planning to wear raw meat clothing of any fashion and style) should probably make sure to stay away from places like Las Vegas or the circus. Some animal trainers might be able to use puppy pads to train some of the big cats that appear in shows and help in house breaking them but it is probably far easier to train a dog to not go after someone in raw meat clothing than it is to train other animals to ignore the enticing scent of raw meat.
